I've always been a fan of Singapore. A fine country. I grew up watching Singapore programmes, therefore, the Singaporean influence - in-a-way-lah. Even when I was in Uni, my friends call me a "pro Singapore fan"! from hunky guys to indie bands, women to fashion..i say i am bias. I was once so much into gigs that I was named a groupie by one of my friends. Those were the days. We enjoyed more than we worry, for me.

I lurved watching the local tv dramas and how the whole era evolved from SBC, to TCS to Mediacorp. So much improvement and change as compared to our own Msian broadcast. It's pretty disappointing when you switch on the tv, with just that few channels and whatmore, NO interesting programmes to watch. You only get shows from P.Ramlee times.

Transportation is well developed, they promote for tourist attractions and at least the zoo is more attractative than our Zoo Negara. Msia maju, I hope. Despite all these critism, I'm still a Malaysian and I love my country. I love mamaks i love shopping i love the beaches. Can't blame me cos I grew up with Sporean media influences. How media can change your ideology and implicitly complicate things.

Geez. I wish things were simpler.

Talk about being lazy and to procrastinate. I'm the biggest sinner. It's already November and I wonder what have I achieved this year? Every year, people make resolutions and try to achieve their goals. Have I accomplished what I had to do? I guess not. It has been a complecated year for me and many happenings. I thank God I survived the year.

A speaker spoke and his messaged kicked me in the butt. Despite challenges and storms, you need to come into the presence of God. HE will keep you through all things. When was the last time you had a good chat with the Lord? When was the last time you prayed like never before. It's easier said than done. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is week. You just want to live good and let everything worry for itself, without bothering you. Sounds familiar?

You want to be successful, make loads of money and live happy. At times of crisis like this, what is there to depend on? Who can help you, but not yourself? The biggest boo-boo is yourself. You can only count on the Lord. Start doing something with your life and seeking the presence of God and trust it will be well.

I'm reminding myself everytime.

God will never forsake you even if you're in the worst condition, cos' HE loves you.

My dad hooked me up with this Japanese chocolate which is certainly the BEST chocolates I've ever tasted. It simply melts not just in your mouth, but as a gift to your loved ones would just melt their hearts. Definately made with perfection. If I'm not mistaken, it's produced in Hokkaido. I got mine from Singapore. wooohoo!!

I fell in love with it the moment I tasted it. Wrapped in an insulated bag, packed with dry ice, very marketable it is. However, there's only 20 small pieces and if you ask me, it's never enough. I can even finish it all by myself. Goodness gracious. For the price paid for it, it's well worth it eventhough it's slightly towards the pricy side. Well, you pay for quality.

I'm so loving it right now. My latest obsession. I've always been an addict for chocolates and royce just made it all worth it, eventhough you gain that few pounds.

Another MUST TRY! I'm just so in love with it. Every bite's like biting your way to heaven. haha. Alright I'm exaggerating. But trust me, it's Goooooooooooo--ed!!

Geezz...I'm just so into body creams. I just go nuts over 'em. I've collected so many brands of cream and on the top of my list stays victoria secret and bath & body works. Now, I'm in luv with Elizabeth Arden's "Honey Drops Body Cream"! It's simply delicious! haha. The smell of it makes me go dreamy and feeling good. It's a MUST TRY! However, the problem is, I have not come across this anywhere in Msia yet. *sobs* I think it's only available in the US, else, probably some duty free shops at the airport. I got it from Japan. bah. and it's my regret that I did not buy one for myself, cos I gave it to my mum.

I want i want i want!! Can't wait to go hunting for this cream. Girls, when you apply just a drop, it'll attract all the guys, i tell you! muahaha.

What a week.phew. It felt as if I've been working non-stop for the past week.. It does feel longer than in actual fact. And of course after having a great planned holiday, your heart just doesn't belong anywhere else, but longing for the next one. Thanks to work, I've been dreaming lately on how to deal with my clients and how to resolve issues and my brain's bombarded with numbers. No, I'm not an accountant, but I get paid to irritate and annoy my clients. They hide when I appear, they show their sour faces when I greet them.

WHY?WHY?WHY? I remain clueless.

Enough about work. a lil' update on my trip. I flew 3535miles away to the land of the rising sun......and I love the harajuku outfits and the weirdest hairdo. Girls are definitely more attractive than the guys...And I was told to be prepared if the jap girls started flirting with him. Sad right? Population of girls outnumbered the male species. So anyone interested in getting a chic, I suggest, take the next flight across south china sea and search for your princess charming.

I myself was too caught up checking the chics. Trust me, they are way, way cuter than you think they are.

Well, since I have been quite free lately, I'll just bore you guys with blog posts!

Was browsing around in Mid valley and got myself a babu! Oh wait, I gotta thank ming cos' he bought it for me. What's a babu? I really have no idea. It just looks like this... <------ It's actually a mini mirror which looks pretty cute! see I told you guys I feel like a princess, hence the vanity to always look at myself and make myself look pretty.

I haven't been shopping and buying for ages. Never actually treated myself to anything since my objective now is to save save save, invest invest invest, make more money!! muahahhaha Am I being materialistic? maybe. maybe not! How else would I get to travel and visit my dear friends in San Diego?

Anyhow, I needed this babu since my hair looks like this now! I needed a change so I've decided to curl my hair!! You think it's cool? Well, not in-the-making! It was such a torture waiting 6 hours for it to be curled, cos digital perm, and I felt like my head was about to drop. It was soooooooo heavy.

What girls go through for beauty. So nonsensical eh? I'm just happy with the outcome and not think about the process of it.

i think i needed a new look. I'm bored with the old. bah. Well, it's been more than 2 weeks since i took the very much needed break from work, oh well, whatmore, for exams. At least my mind is off work for a month. I longed for this break since ages! But looks like it's coming to an end real soon. Exams aren't undemanding. They are just as complicated which causes nervous tension as my line of work could bring.

hence, the churns, twirls of gases in my stomach, butterflies up and down, made me s.i.c.k. for...quite a bit. For the past one month, I've puked at least 5 times, 1 jab, many many intakes of panadol and inhalation/rubs of my trustee ol' orange oilment all the way from thailand. I'm alright now, i hope so...till my next paper...

Anyway, I'm still loving this period for me to unwind. However, I'm still extremely JeaLOus!! when friends take annual leaves for a total holiday somewhere cold, breezy, a REAL holiday, while I sacrifice all these leaves for exams. Not much of a holiday, huh. Potong steam. real POTONG! -potong-potong-potong!!

Dad : Eh where you wanna go for CNY?
ME : I don't think I have enough leave to take..cos of exams..............

I think I've set the record for staying indoors for the longest period of time, having NO friends to hang around with, away from chinese food, surviving with bread and biscuits for dinner for 1 whole week, still counting, and indoors ain't making me a happy person at all because I bring WORK back home. I shan't complain that much as I'm provided with free breakfast and lunch everyday.

With the luxury of softy beds, someone to clean your room everytime you get back from work, helped. But nothing beats MY ROOM! Even with the mess, I lurve everything of it.

I would say this job engagment would be my very first, away from home, and worse of all, not knowing who would be with you on the job. If it didn't start right, God knows what will become of me. You wouldn't want to know. Yes, I am scary. To some. I dreaded coming in the first place. I shall not compare this with my outings and road trips with the company of beloved friends. It's all different. Yes, I like outdoor, I like adventure, but working on a given time frame outside your comfort zone is even more stressful. I complain, I talk to much, Bleh. That's me, like it or not.

I never thought it was easy. I wanted to try. So, don't judge me if I can't do it. Or if I can't take it. OR whether I can make it through. Call it directionless if you want. I'm still finding.

It sounds emo, but you can't blame a girl, on her 2nd week of work being sent up north. Not knowing procedures and systems and expect her to know it all. Yes, you can see that I'm all stressed up. Dateline's soon, manager's flying here soon, I'm not sure if everything's going to be smooth.

And now, I continue with the life of an auditor. back to W.O.R.K.

I'm not sure again. I miss home and it's only my 4th day here. Life's been pretty mundane with the job of an auditor. I ask questions, investigate, probe, bug, and pester the accountant for EVERYTHING! I find myself quite irritating and I think the guy's getting a little stressed up. I pity him because he's such a nice guy and I feel guilty at having to make his life a bitter one.

This time round, it's a Japanese Company and it's pretty interesting how the Japanese work. And when they start speaking in english, you have to open your ears wider to grasp what they're getting at. :) But, very nice and polite people. A bow to greet everyday! So nice right?

I think I've been overly worried about work. I really thank God that He provided me with a very understanding senior, not expecting a lot, but yet, I have to finish certain part of audit by myself. And I wouldn't want to bother her much with questions because she's already stressed up with her own part. I need to self learn. :( something I'm not very efficient at.

It's been quite a long week and by the time I get home, it's dark. And working from the resort doesn't seem as bad as working in the office. I'm so in the mood for christmas...Decos up, lights up, and way to go, SHOPPING! I'll just have to find time. SHOPPING freak I am!

I don't get to see my penyu, so, I'm flying home soon to see my "man-dressed-penyu". *hint hint*

Blogging from TERENGGANU! Man...I'm sooooooooo tired. Flew all the way here for a job...and it's only my 3rd week at work. Anyhow, everything's pretty fine. I'll be back in 2 weeks time though..sob sob.. And I don't get to see penyus...:(

Yesterday...i was staying in this -10 star service apartment..and now.........after complaining to the client......I'm staying....HERE!!! Terengganu Equestrian Resort!! The only world class Oceanside Equestrian Park & Resort in Malaysia. So cool right? I've got wireless connection...I've got the beach beside us, I've got nice beds..I've got clean water...I've got toilet papers..I've got toilet bowls that functions....and at least its 100 times better that that dodgy service apartment...weird looking guys around..so dangerous lor. At least this resort, there's horse riding?? So romantic riding during sunset!!! Eeeeeee....Anyone interested? *grin*

Oh well..I hope I get to enjoy as much during my stay here. But somehow, work is still work. I miss KL lor..actually i miss my family and friends. It's only my 2nd day and I'm complaining so much. I'll update soon again I guess with my boring life here. Time to sleep...Yawns....

BUSY BUSY BUSY!I'm exhausted! Lack of sleep these days....Anyhow, I'll be away outstation for a job engagement for 2 weeks! Gosh...that's very very long..I'm so gonna miss K.L. :( sobs...

Some lil updates, MISS JOY WONG! First week of work, and I got a bouquet of flowers!! Lilies, my favourite. :) Thanks to my beloved brother, he just made my saham higher. I got interrogated. Ahh... he just made it as the number 1 BEST BROTHER award. I love the flowers! But I love my brother more..muahahah...he's so gonna kill me for making this statement..hehe. I teared..I was touched! So girls, start pestering your brothers for somethng surprising on your first week at work!! It really made my day and week! Appreciated!

And so, I had lunch with some of my ex-colleagues...So, one year ago, I had very long hair...

So, I was welcomed and felt sooooooo at home. I was no stranger any longer. I felt so loved and wanted, blessed with such good company of ex-colleagues, whom i might call my colleagues maybe, someday again. And goodness me, the whole department was aware of my arrival even before I stepped into the 6th floor again. News does travel fast. Thanks to a certain guy, he made a grand entrance for me..announcing to all the managers. It's quite embarrassing though. *hides face*

Been almost a year since i last stepped into the building. Fond memories. Some people left, some remained. Some, about to leave. I smuggled myself illegally into the department finding myself chatting away and catching up, with lost time. Lots of gossip. Politics. Changes. Ups. Downs. Being me, I had to add in spices to the gossips. Cheesy. I like!

Oh well..still awaiting for the final affirmation. I hope I get it though. Oh God, please bless me and help me. I'm not sure if I'm gonna survive in this line of job.

leaders retreat was great! despite having to wake up early in the mornings while some others sleep in, I had the privilege to cook! It was rather fun working together, chatting, preparations..I do miss all the fun. Rawang was the place! I felt so at home and..it's just so enjoyable that I wanna go back again for a holiday. I guess this would be the last best holiday before work. Officially employed, but I don't really feel the excitement at all. I wonder why.

Day 1
Ringgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg...and so the alarm clock went off before 6am. Belle's still sleeping...what a hard nut to crack! I don't even think she heard the alarm...haha So, next my phone alarm went off..Sighs..I wish I needn't wake up so early..head off to Sime Darby Convention Centre for an event management job. And..all I wanted is to see some department leng chai partners! To my disappointment...well I met this japanese dude...

Highlight? I tripped and nearly fell...and I got whacked at the face by one of my crew. I stole a shoe bag by Microsoft..HAHAHA what's working as temps without bringing back some souvenirs? Thank you Christian...you stole one, I stole two! I was choosed to be his partner in registration..and it was fun but boring...checking out partners and managers!

DEAD TIRED..

Day 2
6am..my alarm went off again. I'm not working..but..I'm having an interview session this morning! Sighs...got up to read on some technical stuffs in case being asked. Headed down in the jammed packed train to sultan ismail..level 12.

me: Good morning. I'm here for an interview session.
Lady at reception: Please fill up this form. (Brings me to a room)

Two guys were already inside filling up some stuffs. One of the guys started greeting and telling me to fill up the form and write an essay...And so..this was one of the topic to choose from..
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I. I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference" Comment on how it appears in your outlook of life or how it relates to our attitude..or sth like that...WAH SO HARD!

And there was role play. A case situation given to us..board meeting..I, the finance manager role. WHAT!! I don't even know how to count you ask me to be finance manager..then next was a role of an auditor...............I failed at this session, I tell you. All candidates were guys..except me..5 guys and a girl. Then came in 5 lady interviewers to judge on our board meeting. panic panic panic.

Next, HR Manager and the Audit Manager and me sat together for a chat. Basically, one to one session interview. It wasn't that scary here though..Oh well.it lasted altogether 3 hours....And i'm Dead Tired....The journey continues with a walk from the office to the lrt station and a walk back home. I dozed off in the train....and I'm gonna doze off now.....

And I'm still DEAD TIRED.

I had the best american beef burger..ever!!! Well, you can't get this in M'sia...ahhhhh....I'm lovin' it! Boy, it was delicious! So...I received an email, advertising about starbucks' latest addition to their family. The ever tempting HOT CHOCOLATE! YUMMY! It really, really looks good in this picture. Since I'm the one having the sweet tooth, I shall go for the caramel hot chocolate! The only thing that's missing is, a rainy weather with a romantic atmosphere...a beautiful scenary...I wonder why Australia keeps popping in my head...! Ahhh....having to enjoy the postings of miss joy's momentos and wonkyness out of her blog makes me dream of visiting Australia again and again. Looks like a lot of fun there. And since, my good friend's flight itinerary heads to Adelaide..and then Dubai..then Zurich...I wonder when would be my next trip out of the country...besides singapore.

Hmm...talk about hot chocs, I'm craving for chocolates!!!! Just had durian chocs..you know..dark chocs stuffed with durian..and I believe Australia has all these chocolate factories where you can taste all you want! FREE chocs! The last time I was there, I couldn't help but went a few rounds. So what if people see, kiasu mar kiasu lor! I actually "stole" some and put it in my pocket. *grinz*

And while I'm back home, I finally got to taste the strawberry wine I bought from Philippines...erm..it's a long story. I broke the popular Baguio strawberry wine I bought and ended up purchasing the imported strawberry wine in Manila. Michelle can testify to this that both of us were literally running around the SM mega mall in search for strawberry wine...and being stopped by the traffic guard...cos' we committed an offence of jay walking..but he kindly pardon us. Thank God he didn't charge us of any offence...because we were rushing for time before we departed Manila...

I could go on and on about my overseas trips...but I'll leave that for the next round. How on earth did hot chocolate lead to jay walk...!! I'm bored...and that's why I'm blogging.

My mini trip to Malacca a few weeks ago had brought back sooooooooo much Pre-U memories. The Malacca campus has changed SOOOOO much and it looks really GRAND compared to 5 years ago...How I miss Uni life!!! Malacca's been a part of me eventhough I spent only 1 year studying there. Ahh....the food! the PEOPLE!!!!!! Night safari???? I never knew it existed...

And while Emerald Park was where I stayed for a year......this is the NOW! where my friends stay..wah..so unfair lor. I cram with 9 students in the same unit...and with this new condo, only 4?? And having the unit facing the swimming pool......SO UNFAIR lor...I'm SOOOOOOO JEALOUS! I wish I could go back in time...

This picture was taken in Manila during our missions trip. It brought to my attention that our lives are sometimes like this picture. The clear bright sky filled with amazing clouds, only where birds can soar, where dreams could be build? And yet..a layer of polluted toxic covering the city which in reality, makes it ugly. So does it apply to our very own being. The issues at heart, the dirt, the unforgiveness, the bitterness, the pride, the selfishness, the self pity, the attitude problem, the anger, the struggles. Do we allow these circumstances to dominate us?

We allow these impureness to be drowned in our own little island, and not addressing the matter taking appropriate actions to deal with it. Only if these contaminated toxic could disappear..life could be better. But, I came to accept that God allows it to happen, so that we can grow, and get our lives right with God. That is if we CHOOSE to do our part. AND God will keep His covenant with us. After all, God is in control of our lives.

It is very easy to talk but not act upon it. We all struggle in bad times. It's easy to come to God and praise Him, give glory, thank Him when all's well. But when it comes to one of those "seasons", would we still stand firm in our faith? Letting God walk through us side by side or do we wish to be isolated. Well, honestly, I'm still learning. I don't have all the answers, I try to hold on. Rebuilding is the word.

Until the layer of pollution is lifted off, we'll still have that "ugly" side in us. Deal with it. Do something about it. Let's stop pollution, in other words, ACT upon these issues for He will give us the assurance.

Hmm...been thrashing myself lately with singapore shows and therefore, singapore idol. Last night, Paul Twohill got voted OUT! Not exactly my favourite..well, honestly, I don't fancy any of the above. For me, I think Jonathan has the best voice...his sexy and jazzy, deep voice makes him sexy. haha.

It was pretty shocking for me to see young teenage girls crying buckets when Paul got voted out. Quite a scene...how emotionally involved they are.

Couldn't believe it when I first heard the breaking news about the ever famous Australian "Crocodile Hunter", Steve Irwin killed by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Rief. More news here.

It cought me by surprise as well because it always catches my attention whenever he appears on tv and i just enjoy his documentaries. It's such a great loss. While having so much passion for the wild, endangering his own life, he cheats death most of the time. Unfortunately, not this time.

I think I got myself into this allergy....

Hives are raised red welts of various size on the surface of the skin, often itchy, which come and go. Also called uticaria, hives is usually part of an allergic reaction to drugs or food. (I think for me, it was some insect bite or dust). The term "dermatitis" describes an inflammatory response of the skin, caused by contact with allergens or irritants, exposure to sunlight, or by poor circulation, even stress. AVOID SCRATCHING. (sorry it was TOO late...i scratched merely for 3 hours straight before getting another jab from the doctor at 2am........) Scratching the rash may spread the inflammation, lead to infection and even leave scars. (Tell me about it....:( )

One hallmark of hives is their tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours.( disturbing my sleep due to the itchiness....) An outbreak that looks impressive, even alarming, first thing in the morning can be completely gone by noon, only to be back in full force later in the day. ( I pray i don't get it later...) Very few, if any other skin diseases occur and then resolve so rapidly.

Many substances can trigger hives
- Medications
- shellfish, fish, nuts, eggs, milk, and other foods
- Pollen
- Animal dander (especially cats)
- Insect bites

Hives may also develop from:
- Infections like mononucleosis or illness (including lupus, other autoimmune diseases, and leukemia)
- Emotional stress ( hahahahah.....MAYBE it was due to STRESS)
- Extreme cold or sun exposure
- Excessive perspiration

Conclusion...it's far worse then you can imagine..literally, you're scaratching every second...for me i tried to tahan for 3 hours..and i couldnt..finally, went to the doctor at 2am for a jab. At least I was not as afraid as before..hehe. Butt STING again! This time, left butt cheek. Healing took place instantaneous. I fell asleep right after the jab.

And this morning...the red patches begin to reappear again....................not as itchy...but it looks really bad. I've gotten myself an itch disease.......ughhhhhhhhhhhhh...........someone HELP ME!

i finally made a day trip to our neighbouring country, singapore. I willingly made through and passed as the official driver for my dad. haha. first time driving in spore..ain't that bad! The only downside to it, is that i didn't manage much to scout around for chics and hunks. I had to be courteous of course..and looking out for pedestrians at zebra crossings..bla bla..Speed limit averaged at 90km/hr.. cannot wei!! TOO SLOW!

The purpose for the trip was to head down to queensway shopping centre..why? because 2 years back, when i was down south for sonicfest 2004, keng and hock brought me to their "indy" place to shop..and i found a shop seemed like heaven to me. *bling bling* EARRINGS! ever since, i've always wanted to go back to the same shop, but failed.

at last, from suntec city, me and my mum took a cab all the way to queensway. it was pouring and i wondered if it was worth the effort going through the EXPENSIVE cab fare..it costs me S$8.30!! Oh well, pretty disappointed as the shop has changed its settings and, not as many earrings as i looked forward too. But at least i had a cuppa coffee with mr marko tan who stays at queesntown. :) something eventful! haha

Headed back to great world city and went grocery shopping with my parents!!!!!! I'm so in love with singapore supermarts! Goodness gracious! i like ah! almost everything you see has a lil of diet ingredients..all for the sake of fitness. That's not exactly what i like, but it's the variety of imported things..well, you have banana gardenia breads..raisin gardenia..you have Ben & Jerrys...woohoo! you have pork knuckles..and the list goes on and on......*drools*

the best of it all is............... bus ads with my favourite, FIONA XIE on em...nose bleed! I just love her smile, love the way she looks, love her bubbly-ness! From the english local drama "Growing up" to the chinese sitcom "My genie" ....ahhhhhh....cannot help it! *melts* and oh..she's only 24?

how time flies. i miss those days. uni days. now, I can officially say that I'm a fresh graduate having obtained the so-called "terra-menera" inscribed in digital form of certificate. what i call it quite fake. where's my scroll? i would very much prefer the authentic scroll awarded to me, than the misery of a copy of compact disc..~bleh~

good are those days. but reality strikes now. almost ALL of my closer friends have joined the work force..left behind, are those working hard in finding one. as for me, with quite a pressure bugging me, i'm TRYING to try hard. i wonder if that's even an effort to try. we'll see..auditing's my target..a big 4 accounting firm would be the aim. or MAYBE i should try hooking up with some matchmaking agency in search for MR RIGHT. Any recommendations?

haha. thank you clare and belle for the wonderful previous post! btw, if any of you were wondering, these 3 wonderful siblings paid a visit to my house for the day. I was just glad to become their sister for the day while the other brothers had their time at futsal. Well, I can start auctioning them off one by one....any takers? *nyek nyeks* Had a great time bonding and just chilling..still trying to dig out secrets from them. while lil joy started cracking up jokes!! can fight with my brother lo! they were just going on and on and on....quality time spent on a sunday afternoon, instead of sleeping. It has been pretty much, an exhausting week. Yes, lost in thoughts. Much happened. When it rains, it really pours.
Still haven’t gotten, my breathing space.

Floating

I can’t help feeling it, but it feels that I’ve been floating for the past few months. First I was stuck at home in KL trying hard at studying. Then it was camp at port dickson..then came the training cum preparation in Malacca. Spent a week back home down south to recuperate. Next, I’m gone 2 weeks in Philippines having the time of my life just letting go of everything. I needed a pit stop!! And now I’m back to square one, back home recovering from the entire hectic schedule. In the period of less than 2 months, it feels like i've been travelling around the whole world experiencing people and nature, and now, I’m tired. First, I'm floating, next i'm direction-less.

Totally clueless at this point. Like what josh had said, it’s back to reality. Everyone’s been asking me the same question. “So, what’s next?” Without a doubt, the mission trip had taught me a great load of things I never knew about myself. So, what’s next? I think I’m still oblivious to the fact that I’m no longer a kid anymore. It’s time to grow up, make big decisions and not relying on people anymore. Welcaome to adulthood? More responsibilities? All I need is a time of reflection. Hence, the break. Moving on.

Friends come, friends go. Inevitable to that fact. One of the concerns deep inside me. A friend said that from now on, he would be tenacious towards friendships. I wish and hope I can maintain it. Yes. it takes a lot of effort and I’m gonna give it a try. Joy, I know exactly how you feel now. Oh well…let’s just hope I don’t get stoned one day by my friends for not keeping up with them! Haha Anyway, it’s back to my daily life, for now, bumming and rotting at home.

If any of you do feel bored, nothing else better to do, give me a ring! I'll be glad to catch up if i'm around.

philippines rawked!

Finally my return. On a serious note, I didn’t wanna come back home. Nobody did wanna face up to reality once we touched down Malaysian soil. Missed the weather, missed the shopping and mostly missed the warmth of the people This trip was amazingly, the cheapest, the longest and the most variety compared to the past final year mission trips. Our contact in Philippines, Pastor Tham Wan and wife were graciously the best host you could ever find!
How rawking Philippines was:

i) There was PORK everywhere! The inevitable fact that pork was served in everything we ate. We had pork burger, pork chop, pork skins….hmm leave you guys to your imaginations.

ii) Music was one area which impressed me to the max. Even the mountain churches built on bamboo has the basics of a drum set, electric guitar and bass. Everyone was just purely by nature gifted. By the roadsides of Manila, you’ll see live bands set up one after another and it’s just amazing!

iii) You see jeepneys everywhere, fitting about 20 plus passengers. Since all vans and jeepneys are diesel fueled vehicles, the fumes in Baguio was totally choking. I wonder if the life span of people are shortened due to the fumes. Baguio up on the mountains, cooling with scenic views. Roads are winding, steep, and it makes you wanna puke each time you ride on a jeepney. We weren’t used to the roads, the left side of driving, holding hands were normal when crossing.

iv) Kids were everywhere! When it rained it flooded because there weren’t any proper drainage system. They were happily splashing each other likewise similar to the kids here just that kids here splash in the swimming pool. You see kids begging in the streets. They pout and put on the most sympathetic face. Totally heartbroken. I wish I could do something…but there’s nothing I can do.

v) Amazingly, Philippines has a population of an estimate of 95% Christians, mostly roman catholics, thus the freedom of ministering in public schools. How cool can that be? You needn’t people send sms verses. It is all over Philippines. “Jesus is God” “God loves you” etc. You get to speak freely about Christianity. They even have specific tv channels where preaches preach. Ps Tham Wan told us that even we could end up preaching in tv if we wanted to. Shocking? It was to me.

vi) The best part was, eventhough it was a missions trip, we were blessed with people treating us good food. We had hong kong 8 course meals, there was Mongolian buffet, Filipino food, and fairly strange food with pork. Pork pork pork. I think I’ve put on weight since the trip. Can’t explain how blessed we were. People were friendly and warm and just down to earth.

About missions. You might be wondering how on earth we’re doing missions and at the same time having so much fun? Let’s just say, this was a different missions trip. We visited mostly, churches, bible colleges, seminaries and it was a different experience altogether being able to encourage these people. I think they were blessed and on top of that, we, the team were strongly encouraged by these people. Who knows, some of us might be called to study and get our masters in theology in APTS? Just maybe. We’ve made some friends there and the relationship made with the pastors and youths were greatly something to remember.

Results weren't out yesterday as what the uni has promised. (thanks to collin) I randomly browsed through the mmu website for updates today because he asked me about it...and tada!!!!!!!! The results were out!!!!!! I passed all. That's not all.....since grades weren't out, I had to calculate the gpa for the semester. It was a miracle!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe what i counted, so i calculated like 10 times?......NEVER in my life in uni i got such good results......NEVER NEVER. This is the peak.

I'm just speechless and I tell you, it's a miracle and God was behind it all the way. The day I had the accident which caused me to be late for exam, all the fear of failing that particular subject, not being able to graduate. All these mixed feelings, all ended well. A big thank you to the Lord cos God is real and He surprises you all the time. Prayer works. :) :)

I still can't believe I've gotten such good results. I'm never an A student. This explains how shock I am. However, my overall cgpa ain't that amazing. But, at all outcomes or situations, I wanna give thanks to God. Simply amazing, isn't He?

My mum took me for a spa! It lasted at least 5 hours. :) Hmm..I felt a lil uncomfy initially. Well, you've heard about stripping naked and all..so yah! there goes. Interesting..but amazingly fun and de-stress-ful. This time, I did not scream when the therapist perpetually massages me. *beams* by the way, therapist was a girl lah.

Talk about destressing;
RESULTS WILL BE OUT TOMORROW!!!!!! Deep down, uncertain. My hearbeat increases, a thousand times faster each semester when I anxiously stare at the computer screen awaiting for the results page to load. It'll be the same tomorrow, probably with extra fear.

To a certain someone, I'm sure God has planned out everything, YOUR LIFE, for a purpose. Let's not rely on results alone to justify His goodness ya! God loves you and you have my support all the way. *wink* You have been awesome just being yourself and a great testimony. All the best. Love ya, friend!

I hate injections!!!!!! Or rather, freak out when it comes to one. Today, I had an injection, a shot of B1, B6 and B12 vitamins.

RELUCTANT!!!!

Since my aunt’s a nurse, she insisted for a shot on my butt! OUCH! Even before the injection, I screamed my lungs out. Best part is, my mum just stood from afar, laughing at me.I bet my 92 year old grandpa’s laughing hard inside as well. GRRRR.

OUCH OUCH OUCH! Poor butt. Had to go through such aches.

6 million pupils go to school hungry in Philippines. The malnutrition they get. How poverty has affected these kids. How on earth are they suppose to concentrate during classes? My heart goes out to these kids. Similar to Cambodia, the children here too beg for money, experts at pouting. Street kids are at large. I can’t imagine how I would respond to them when they come begging. The advice given was not to contribute in any form for once you start giving, you’ll probably be swarmed with many more. It becomes scary when they persistently beg and cling on to you and never to let you go until you give. My sympathy to them. Moreover, we can never know where the money goes to, probably not to these poor kids. I pray that somehow when we do street evangelism, God will somehow help us understand them better and maybe encourage them in some ways. God, protect them and have mercy on these kids! Amen!

yay! I'm now back home with my family..*snigger* nothing beats the comfy bed compared to 5 days of backaches snoozing on sleeping bags. I'm too old for this! Feeling the cracks and aches everywhere.

5 days of training and preparation has made me, for somehow, more prepared for the mission trip. I still don't think one can be absolutely ready for something they prepare for. In this case, i'm finally, in a way, more prepared than the first day. I've learnt so, so much from the 16 of us and of course the 2 pastors! Flexibility is the word for missions. Somehow, you just gotta do things you've never imagined you would be doing, eg. sermons. I freaked out, i was afraid, but i made it at the end. I really thank God cos prayer works. *smiles* Well, training was dead tiring. On average, 6 sermons a day and we've been mentally exhausted, physically as well. Band practices, skits, dances, gifts, all in all, drained us out. Despite it, we had so much fun together. The laughings, the cryings, the stressed out faces, the "brokeback" talks! it all made us understand each other better. We'll be cooking over in philippines for the locals for a taste of malaysian food and an informal performance about malaysia's culture. Besides, we did have tagalog lessons and songs! How cool eh?

God was good. He provided us good food to eat. Drove outskirts of malacca to Machap for exotic food. It was all good. Shan't mentioned what we ate though. *wink* There goes the end of training, and yet, a mission trip to look forward to. All excited. anxious. I can't wait for next week.

Today, a friend of mine got married. :) It's funny how you see the love stories of MMU students who ends up being affiliated with "MMU" people. This one, a multi racial marriage. I'm glad he finally found his life partner!!

This morning, a very dear friend of mine called me from the US. I almost burst into tears when I heard her voice. I miss YOU so very much! I wish that you were here with us for the missions. :( Conversation goes something like this :

me : (barely awake) yah I am. (in my mind i thought it was some irritating telemarketer)
my lover : do you know who's this?
me : (still blur) ermm...eh, nope. who's this?

My darling friend, if you're reading this, this shows how much I miss you. Can't wait for you to get back soon.
Since being in Malacca for the whole week, it did bring back certain memories. Went back to MMU Malacca to help distribute some flyers to the new intake of students to promote CF. It seems like Day 1 when I entered uni..how the registration and orientation took place. I was once, like them. 5 years down the road, in the making, you get the new me. I've finally made it through. I hope. :)

IF camp 2006
I'm quite sure everyone else would blog about IF camp, so I'll keep it fairly short and sweet. For the sake of others who have no idea what IF camp is, it would be a yearly affair when the two campuses of Cyberjaya and Malacca cf reunite together at camp. It has been 5 years in uni, and i would happily say that i've attended 4 camps altogether!

1st camp theme: "we are one" (Cameron highlands)

2nd camp theme : "fellowship of broga" (Broga, Kajang)

3rd camp theme : "the two campuses" (Penang)

final camp theme : "the return of the king of kings" (port dickson)

To cut the story short, this would be the very last camp i'll ever attend in cf. *sobs* It brought back memories when my very first cf camp i attended was at this very camp site and guess what! uncle mike was the speaker. It all had to end at the very same place. 5 years seems a pretty long time ago, but yet, i can't explain how hard it is for me to leave my cf and friends. At this camp, I enjoyed very much of the games. I like the whole scenario of growing up and a slight idea of the end times, with the mark. Despite having to commando crawl, sit ups, eat some sand, ate flour, duck walk, frog jump, being sent to detention camp for torture, it was all good because i went to heaven at the end. muahahaha. (ask me personally if you wanna know what happened) we played twister at night. hahaha. thank God i never twist any bones.

Sessions for camp personally were pretty much quite sensitive topics with various speculations about end times. Let's just leave the interpretations to the experts and our duty today is to follow on where God leads us, being prepared mentally, for it is to come to past. :)

I felt it when it came to the last night of camp. I'm sorry if i sounded terribly emo, but it is a fact which i can't hide. Leaving was hard. The good old memories will always stay and as Sam said, I hope I did leave some footprints in someone's life, maybe someway, somehow. It made a difference being just in the company of you, MMU fellas. Someday, I would wanna proclaim this verse. "I have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith" 2 Tim 4:7

Cranium

It is now near sunrise and i'm still wide awake staring at the computer, after a game of cranium (a cross mix of word game, puzzle, taboo, pictionary and win, lose or draw) amazingly, fun! Boss, you're just classic lah. Fancy drawing a not-so-look-alike pirate and acting out that roller coaster object.. hmm .. speechless. No wonder nobody guessed it right. Supposed to get back home today after camp, but decided to join the guys for dinner and later, got struck by conscience guilty into staying in cyber for fellowship and board games. A public apology to all those that have always wanted to catch up, but me being me with the overused "busy" word, I'm SORRY! Haven't had nights like that since campus days. I miss A1-0-10 babes and late nights. The weirdest and craziest things you do when you stay with your bunch of friends makes life exiting. It has been a great 4 days of just hanging out with the malacans and cyberians in camp..a specifically emo one for me this time. Some girls started crying on the last day and guess what the guys did..as usual, whacking and jumping on top of each other. At least it made me laugh and smile a bit. IF camp's over, life in MMU's as well, and here comes a new face in life that I have to conquer into. I think I should get some sleep now and updates of IF camp, soon.
